Loy Krathong, a full moon festival held in early November, is a nationwide holiday celebrating the end of the rainy season. Krathongs, made from banana leaves or the newer eco-friendly bread, are lit with candles & incense and set adrift in the canal.
The people give thanks to the water, release their sins, and hope for good fortunes.
Our favorite Krathong-maker.
